Fabrics

Leveraging our understanding of the textile industry, we entered knitting manufacturing in 2014, which continues to grow at a high rate and provides high-quality fabrics.

Knitted fabrics are used for manufacturing versatile and flexible fabrics. These are more textured and have a wide range of technical textile applications. At Laxmee, we use state-of-the-art technology that splits the threads into beans and produces grey fabric. We have set out to become the consumer’s one-stop textile solution by providing a range of options to our clients and customizing them according to their needs. We also offer a range of greige fabrics such as raschel, circular, and tricot warp knitted fabric. We even offer warping services such as high-speed warping, split warping and texturizing services to our clients.

Tricot Warp Knitting, solely composed of knit stitches, represents the largest quantity of warp knit. It is characterized by fine, vertical waves on the surface and crosswise ribs on the back. Tricot fabrics may be plain, loop-raised, or corded, ribbed, cropped velour, or patterned designs. It is commonly used for lingerie due to its good drapability. It is also used for underwear, nightwear, dresses, blouses, and outerwear. Tricot fabric is also used in household products such as sheets and pillowcases. It is also used for upholstery fabrics for car interiors.

Circular Knitting is a method by which yarn is manipulated to create a textile or fabric. Knitting creates multiple loops of yarn, called stitches, in a line or tube. Knitting has multiple active stitches on the needle at one time. Knitted fabric consists of a number of consecutive rows of interlocking loops. As each row progresses, a newly created loop is pulled through one or more loops from the prior row, placed on the gaining needle, and the loops from the prior rows are then pulled off the other needle. A knitting process that links circular stitches in a continuous chain yields uncommon strength and the form-fitting ability for a variety of uses. By alternating between single and double-knit processes, it can vary the style, width, and weight of the fabric to your exact needs.  Circular knits offer more variety and finer control over the finished product’s properties. Different types of yarns (fibre type, texture, and twist), needle sizes, and stitch types may be used to achieve knitted fabrics with diverse properties (color, texture, weight, heat retention, water resistance, and/or integrity).

Raschel Warp knitting has a lace-like, open construction, with a heavy, textured yarn held in place by a much finer yarn. Typically, columns of loops are connected by in-laid yarns traversing from column to column up the fabric, as shown in Fig. 10.9. They split or come apart lengthwise when the laid-in yarn is removed. Examples of products made from raschel fabrics include coarse sacking, carpets, and fine, delicate laces.

Types of Fabrics

We offer a variety of advanced knitting methods—each designed to deliver unique textures, durability, and performance for different fabric applications.

POY (Polyester Oriented Yarn)

Partially Oriented Yarn (POY ) is a type of polyester filament yarn yet to be processed through the drawing process, which is the primary form of polyester filament yarn made through the polymerizing and spinning processes. It is primarily used as a main raw material for DTY. POY is primarily used by us as a raw material for our production of DTY. Any POY not consumed by our DTY production capacity is sold separately as end products.

FDY (Fully Drawn Yarn) / HOY (Highly Oriented Yarn)

Polyester FDY is the abbreviation for Polyester Fully Drawn Yarn. It is also known as Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY) or Spin Draw Yarn (SDY). FDY is mainly used as weft or weaves in making fabrics. FDY can be knitted or woven with any other filament yarn to get fabric of various different varieties. It is mainly used in home furnishing fabrics, fashion fabrics, denim, terry towels, and others. FDY yarn is mainly available in 3 lusters – Semi-dull (SD), Bright (BR) having circular sections & Trilobal Bright (TBR) having triangular cross-sections.

Cross Section Circular / Trilobal / Slit
Application Weaving / Twisting / Sizing / Knitting / Warp Knitting

BSY (Bi Shrinkage Yarn)

Bi-shrinkage yarns (BSY) are a combination of two yarns of different shrinkage to create one composite yarn. The yarns are characterized by the special shrink-bulk effect that is when the fabric manufactured from them is subjected to wet-finishing or over-feeding at stentor of the fabrics, the yarn shrinks.

Draw Twisted Filament Yarn

Drawn Twisted Yarn yarn is obtained when Polyester POY is drawn and then twisted. These yarns are mainly used in weaving & knitting of fabrics for making clothes, home furnishings, seat covers, bags and many other uses.

DTY (Draw Texturized Yarn) / ACY (Air Covered Yarn)

Draw textured yarn (DTY) is made from Partially Oriented Yarn (POY). When the POY is drawn and twisted at the same time, the end product obtained is a drawn textured yarn. The technical specifications of draw textured yarn have made it ideal for a wide range of applications as it can be molded in several ways as well.

ATY (Air Textured Yarn)

ATY yarns are made from POY, ATY is a yarn with zillions of small loops, which give it a distinct feeling and look whereas DTY is a yarn with preferably no loops at all. The loops in ATY contribute to the bulk and loft of a fabric, whereas in DTY the even crimp in every filament creates the bulk and volume of a fabric.

Nylon Yarn 6 & 66

The process for manufacturing the yarns includes spinning nylon polymer with a relative viscosity. Nylon is a thermoplastic silky material, Nylon was the first commercially successful polymer and the first synthetic fiber to be made entirely from coal, water, and air.
